Skedsmo Western Club - the place for line dance in Skedsmo and Oslo

Skedsmo Western Club welcomes everyone interested in Line dance to join in at our line of activities in the fall 2001. Line dancers have more fun, so pay us a visit! Founded in 1998, SWC is now the leading western social and line dance club in our area. Please see our pictures section in the right hand column.

Linedance courses fall 2001

(18.08.2001) Our courses at Skedsmo are held every Tuesday at The Roots, Strømsveien 80, 2010 Strømmen, starting August 28. Beginners at 19:00 and Intermediate at 20:30. Advanced classes same place every Wednesday, starting August 30 at 19:00. In Oslo our classes go every Thursday, starting September 5. Beginners at 19:00 and Intermediate at 20:30. Our Oslo classes are held at Oppsal Samfunnshus, close by Oppsal Senter with bus stop and T-bane (subway). See Trafikanten for traffic schedules.

The first ever Norwegian Country Western Dance Championship

11-13 mai 2001

(15.05.2001)  The major line dance event this year was the first Norwegian Country Western Dance championship (NM 2001) at Jessheim, May 11-13. The best SWC results were: Tone-Lise Inngjerdingen, 1st. place Beginner Adult, Else Lillefuhr 1st. place Beginner Diamond, Geir Botten, 1st. place Novice Adult, Jan Sørum, 1st place Novice Silver, Arild Lekanger 1st. place Intermediate Crystal. Read more in the August issue of SWC Magazine.
